INGREDIENTS

Topping and Caramel Sauce

Apple Filling:

  • 4 apples, diced
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp allspice
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp Justin’s Cinnamon Almond Butter
  • 1 tbsp butter

 

Streusel Topping:

  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup oats
  • 1/8 tsp sea salt
  • 4 tbsp butter, room temp
  • 1 tbsp Justin’s Cinnamon Almond Butter

 

Caramel Sauce:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 6 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp Justin’s Cinnamon Almond Butter

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Apple Filling: In a skillet, cook diced apples with cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, sugar, almond butter, and butter over low heat for 5-7 minutes. Set aside.
  3. Streusel: Mix flour, brown sugar, oats, and salt in a bowl. Add butter and almond butter, combining until crumbly.
  4. Assemble: Roll out store-bought pie dough and cut into 4-5 inch circles. Press into a greased muffin tin.
  5. Fill: Spoon apple mixture into each crust and top with streusel.
  6. Bake: Bake for 25-30 minutes, until golden.
  7. Caramel Sauce: In a saucepan, melt sugar over medium heat, stirring until amber. Add butter, then whisk in cream (it will bubble). Remove from heat and stir in almond butter.
  8. Let pies cool slightly, then drizzle with caramel and enjoy!
