INGREDIENTS

  • 4–5 cardamom pods
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 3–4 whole cloves
  • ½ tsp fennel seeds
  • 4–6 black peppercorns
  • Fresh ginger, 4–5 thin slices
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup milk of choice
  • 2 black tea bags (or 2 tsp loose leaf)
  • 1 heaping tbsp JUSTIN’S® Honey Peanut Butter
  • Honey or preferred sweetener
  • Steamed milk + cinnamon to finish

DIRECTIONS

  1. Use a mortar & pestle to gently break down the cardamom, cloves, fennel, peppercorns, cinnamon and ginger pieces. You want them cracked, not powdered.
  2.  In a small pot over medium heat add water, milk, and spices. Simmer gently for 5–8 minutes. Add tea. Simmer for 2–3 minutes more. Whisk in JUSTIN’S® Honey Peanut Butter until smooth. Sweeten with honey to taste.
  3. Strain and pour into a mug, top with steamed milk and finish with cinnamon. Enjoy!
